How Much Does a Heat Pump/Mini Split Cost?
Mitsubishi mini splits cost approximately $5,000 – $7,000 per ton (12,000 BTU) of cooling capacity, which is about 30% more than central air systems (minus the ductwork) and twice as much as window units. However, mini splits can save you money in the long term because of how energy efficient they are. You also have to consider the savings you’ll have by not using oil, propane or natural gas to heat your home.

Heat pumps are better at dehumidifying air and use less energy than air conditioners. They also use about 50% less electricity than other electric heating sources like furnaces or baseboard heaters.
